Imagine a school where visual arts, foreign language, yoga, theater, and music are a valued part of your child's day.

Imagine your child planting and harvesting a snack from the school garden, learning about a wetlands eco-system by observing the school pond, or simply climbing a tree.

Kim Marsin operates Sweet Home Organics with her wusband Rachel Reklau. Kim came to farming, after leaving her job as an office administrator at a Chicago law firm, by asking where does our food come from and who's growing it? After working on local organic farms and taking part in Angelic Organics Learning Center (AOLC) educational opportunities, Kim and Rachel began their own farm in St. Charles, Illinois. For three years, they operated a 45-member CSA and on-site farm stand. Farming blends Kim's love of sharing food with her desire for community. In 2013 Sweet Home Organics transitioned the business towards solely growing seedlings for home growers in Villa Park. Their seedlings are available for sale via their on-line store and at various in-person May 2015 sales events. Kim also teaches an 8-week Organic Vegetable Production class with the College of DuPage, next scheduled for Mondays starting August 24th, 2015.

Please join us at our rescheduled meeting next Monday, February 16th, from 7-9 pm at the Health Doctors in Warrenville...

"Our babies are getting older and are off to school and getting involved in all kinds of extracurricular activities.  How do we extend our attachment parenting values when our kids are now away from us more than with us?  Come join Joy Davy, MS, LCPC, NCC, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor as she covers these questions, as well as:

*        Continuing to be a holistic parent of the child age 5-12
*        Discipline
*        Toys, technology and family values
*        Continuing the attachment while respecting the independence of your child
*        Issues that arise developmentally during these years
*        Respecting temperaments
*        Handling comments from the Peanut Gallery

In Joy's life, she has been a La Leche League Leader (for 12 years), a doula, and an artist, among other things. For 19 years, she was a stay-at-home mom. She has five children, the last four of whom were born at home. She writes a blog called "The Mother's Mentor" at: http://joydavymothersmentor.wordpress.com/ "
