Councilman Calls Smart Meters New Form of Communism

Memphis Councilman Calls "smart meters"
a new form of Communism
July 8, 2013

MEMPHIS, TN- (WMC-TV) - Communism, hacking, and even fire. Residents and politicians alike have said just about everything about MLGW installing smart meters.

The resolution that sits before the Memphis City Council to exchange MLGW's analog meters for digital smart meters is creating this talk.

"The smart meters are going to be entry points for hacking," said resident Yvonne Burton.

She joined about 50 other people at city hall who are opposed to smart meters. They wore tags calling for a referendum in an attempt to stop the installation of smart meters.

City Council member Joe Brown called smart meters a new source of communism.

"The thing is to make sure the people have a voice in this issue," he said.

City council member Janis Fullilove organized the town hall meeting Monday.

News to Take Seriously

'Smart' city shuts off great-grandma's water
July 9, 2013

MADISON - Audrey Parker says she has paid her water bill on time for the past 20 years, but that didn't stop the city of Baraboo from shutting off the great-grandmother's water supply Tuesday.

The reason?

The 81-year-old Parker says it's because she wouldn't let the city replace her analog water meter with a new 'smart meter' - a battle she's fought with City Hall for more than a year now.

"(Monday) I went to see the Mayor (Mike Palm). The cutoff day was this (Tuesday) morning and I thought the city might relent," Parker told Wisconsin Reporter. "Yesterday they came and I wouldn't let them in."

Natural Products Selection Process/Favorites
Tuesday, August 6th, 7 - 9 pm
With so many natural/organic products out there, how do you choose the one that's right for you? Whether you've just started your journey and have no idea what BPA, parabens or Red #2 means, or you only shop thru co-ops, at Whole Foods and on-line, please come and share your thoughts and experiences on what you look for/at when buying your everyday products. What websites do you look to, whose opinions do you trust or is it just trial and error? Please also bring your favorite product(s) and we'll compile a list as a resource for our members - beauty, household products, food, baby care, toys, books, etc.

What inspires you about HMN or holistic living?  The support given and how we empower one another. We are constantly learning tips and thinking "oh, that's a Great idea"!  I Love to study and Learn from other women about what makes their families successful.  We lead by example.

One of my favorite healthy recipes:

Raw Chocolate Truffles-They are to die for, especially if you Love Chocolate- It is in "Raw for Dessert" by Jennifer Cornbleet.

You will need:
1/3 cup Virgin Organic Coconut Oil (melted)
4 pitted medjool dates
1/2 cup Raw Agave Nectar
1 cup Raw Cacao powder
1/8 tea. plus of Sea Salt

Combine the coconut oil and dates in a small bowl ans soak for 30 min. Transfer to a blender and add the Agave Nectar, 3/4 cup of the cacao powder, and all the salt and process until very smooth. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides of the blender jar with a rubber spatula. Transfer to a small mixing bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.  Place the remaining 1/4 cup cacao powder in a small bowl aside.  Scoop out a heaping 1/2 teaspoon of the chocolate mixture. Pull it off the measuring spoon with your fingers and lightly roll the truffle in the cacao powder (ladies, I sometimes do this and sometimes don't, you'll have to try to see how your family prefers it) I prefer not to have the powder on top), then place it on a plate or in a paper candy cup. Repeat with the remainder of the mixture.  Chill the finished truffles in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.  Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator-they will keep for 1 week. I store mine in the freezer-I just prefer them to be that cold. They probably won't last a week. ENJOY!

Once its collected....

NSMA Logo
Think about it....

"Once its collected, you can't control it"

Think about that every 5-15 minutes when data is being collected from the smart meter attached to your home or business
and sent back to a huge database at the electric department.
