How Many More Sandy Hook Type Massacres Before Things Change?

HOW MANY MORE SANDY HOOK MASSACRES BEFORE THINGS CHANGE?

What will it take for America to finally wake up?

I always pray for it, but after what recently happened in Florida, I will pray even harder for a paradigm shift in mental health care in this country. We need to treat the whole child, not just a set of symptoms.

Here is an article I wrote in December of 2016 on why things need to change and how we can all play a role in preventing any more massacres from happening in our local community.

I am a holistic mom because:
I believe my lifestyle became "holistic" long before I even had any understanding about the true meaning of the holistic lifestyle and I guess I have very diverse view on a lifestyle in general. Being born in foreign country with very different cultural background, I guess I can now say with deepest appreciation that I was very fortunate to be influenced by my loving family who taught me about mindfulness and compassion to our Mother Earth. I grew up in very unadorned yet rich environment surrounded by beauty of our nature. From very early on we were taught how to be kind and protective of our Mother Earth. Everybody lived in harmony with nature, that means we grew our own food/vegetables, raised our own animals, had access to endless orchards, vineyards, ate only seasonal food, used herbal products that were hand made, produced 0 waste, learned not to waste nature's treasures such as water, and the list goes on and on.

So the answer to a question "Why I became holistic mom" would be very simple: I don't even know how to live differently:)

My holistic passions are:
My biggest holistic passions are: my organic garden, cooking healthy meals for my family, and of course my work, where as "wholistic" practitioner trying to bring my clients to full homeostasis!

What is your favorite healthy recipe?

My favorite quick snack/breakfast recipe:

2 apples
2 TBSP psyllium husk
1 TSP chia seed (optional)
1 cup (more or less) coconut milk or yogurt

Mix all ingredients in high speed blender and enjoy!

View this email in your browser

A HEALTHY NEW ME & ADHD FREE

I'm excited to announce that I've officially released a children's book A Healthy New Me & ADHD Free designed to make a healthy lifestyle something that your kids will want to be a part of!

The book tells the story of Michael, a young boy having a terrible time at school who always finds himself in trouble with his teacher due to his inability to focus or pay attention. Michael also suffers from tummy aches, depression, anxiety and more, all of which his pediatrician recommends medication for.

Rather than accepting this, Michael's mother researches natural remedies and consults with a naturopathic physician. With their help, and some necessary dietary changes, Michael finds himself well on the road to recovery!

Beyond my work, I'm a mom who fiercely loves her children, and for their sake, when it comes to their health I've always explored all available options — an approach that I'm proud to say has led me to find better solutions than any conventional specialist had ever offered.

But it hasn't always been easy, here are 10 difficult lessons I learned along the way...
