| Monthly Chapter Meeting Biochemical Therapies for Mental Health Tuesday, August 1, 2017 | Don't miss this opportunity to spend an evening with Dr. William Walsh of the Walsh Research Institute! Internationally renowned for his research into specific biotypes for all the major mental illnesses, Dr. Walsh has developed specific testing and natural treatment protocols for these biotypes, working closely with the client's health practitioners and supplement compounding pharmacies. Dr. Walsh will answer questions on his research, give an overview of his book Nutrient Power, and explain how his approach has been successful with some highly treatment resistant cases.
Dr. Walsh started his research in the prisons, noting that in a group of inmates who did not have traumatic childhoods the violent inmates all had zinc/copper imbalances. He went on to form HRI Pfeiffer. Doctors he has trained have formed Mensa Medical to continue the clinical work of his research, and he now trains other doctors in his approach through The Walsh Research Institute. He is the author of Nutrient Power and numerous journal articles. Alternative Medicine Journal noted he has a 70-80% remission rate for first break psychosis and has identified biotypes for all the major mental health issues. Some include physical characteristics or seasonal allergies. A few subtypes are Histadelia, Histapenia, Pyloria, etc. Once he identifies the causes through blood testing, he recommends high doses of select nutrients. There are several area natural compounding pharmacies familiar with his approach. **Please Note Our New Meeting Location!**
| Member Highlight Eva Gairabetoff | How long have you been a member of HMN?
I started with HMN in the fall of 2013 at the invitation of my daughter, Tanya Kreger.
I am a holistic mom because: When I gave birth to my daughter, Tanya Kreger, I was already a holistic mom as I was doing yoga and meditation before and after her birth. However, I was not blessed with the resources for holistic living that are available today to HMN. Along the way, I joined a spiritual women's group and, in the late 1990's, became active in and learned about energy work and also practiced certain exercises to enhance Ki or Chi - similar to kiqong and tai chi. Then I was introduced to Reiki and Healing Touch and learned those modalities and practiced them consistenly. I had "table will travel" and also worked out of doctor's offices and all this while I had a full time job and family responsibilities. Over the last 20 years, I read many metaphysical authors to broaden my perspective. When my grandchildren were born, I was invited into the delivery room doing Reiki, energy-wanding and aromatherapy. My holistic passions are:
Currently, I love teaching Reiki and having a daily Reiki self-practice. Going back many years, I've studied herbs, supplements and essential oils. This is helping me now as I am going through the IN.FORM gut health and weight balancing program so that I will be a better coach (I am already certified). Also, in my tool box are Nature's Sunshine herbal supplements and ASEA redox supplement (which cured me of Achalasia). I believe in giving people the tools they need to develop and fulfill their purpose. Other ways I empower others - introducing them to energetic self-healing tools such as the AMWand and AMPendant, ReikiWeave, aromatherapy and crystals. What inspires you about HMN or holistic living?
Now I am totally on the holistic living path. Am taking better care of what I eat and my environment. I am always learning more from HMN and am inspired by the holistic mom's and what they do today for their children and families to keep them healthy and conscious about the negative effects of technology that emits EMFs and pesticides to name a few.
