| Member Highlight Stacey Martinez | How long have you been a member of HMN? Well - I was a member of HMN 100 years ago when my oldest daughter was young. Then about four years ago my schedule changed and I was no longer able to participate. I let my membership lapse and I just recently joined back up. I missed HMN greatly!
I am a Holistic Mom because: My family is worth it! I started my holistic journey when I was pregnant with my first baby. The first time I heard about things like smoothies, organic food, natural childbirth and such, I thought the people were slightly off their rockers. Now - I get it!!! The health of my family and our world is so worth other people thinking the same of me.
My holistic passions are:
Eating real food, natural childbirth (although my turn is done - I love to help others with their journey), breastfeeding, "alternative" healthcare. I love learning about ways I can keep my family healthier and more alive.
What inspires you about holistic moms or holistic living? The part of HMN that inspired me is the deep friendships that are formed with like minded people. I love being with "my peeps". As far as holistic living - I love feeling empowered to make educated decision for myself and my children.
One of my favorite healthy recipes: CABBAGE SALAD
Bowl full of chopped cabbage (green and purple) Chopped red onion Chopped cilantro
Dressing: Using the mortar and pestle mash together the following: 1 Garlic clove Sea salt Juice of one lemon Olive oil
