Next Month's Meeting
Beating the Winter Blues
January 4, 2011 7-9 PM
It's cold, snowy, and the days are shorter. And darker....
Beating the winter blues before they knock on your door is something every person should be aware of, and knowing how to cope with it if you are affected is even more important. Join us at this month's meeting to hear Dr. Melissa Sharp, psychologist, as she presents an informative perspective on Seasonal Affective Disorder, or S.A.D.. Questions and open discussion to follow her lecture, in addition to discussion of natural treatments and prevention of the "Winter Blues." Don't be S.A.D., be GLAD you came!

Theresa Muth
I'm a Holistic Mom because: It makes sense to live this way and raise my family in the healthiest possible way.

My holistic passions are: 1) Natural Healing-It
amazes me that there are so many alternative healing methods out there. It is just a matter of doing a little
research to find what I need! 2) Choosing the best
quality foods for my family-This is sometimes quite a challenge, but over the last couple years my husband and I have spent a lot of time looking over labels and researching ingredients.
It has been time consuming, but we definitely feel it is worth it for our future, and more importantly, our children's futures. 3) Breastfeeding-Giving y daughter the best gift I can give her.

What inspires me about Holistic Moms: I am inspired by the amazing women in this group. I have met so many wonderful people and I have learned so much from them. The Holistic Moms Network has given me a place to be open about my holistic passions and grow in my holistic lifestyle. I am inspired by my kids when I look in their eyes everyday. When I hear my son ask for an organic snack or say "YUK" to bad sugar, I smile inside knowing that I'm giving my kids the things that they need to have a healthy life.
