Monthly Chapter Meeting
Women in Transition
Tuesday, April 4th, 7pm
Join Naperville Psychologist, Nutritionist, and Healing Touch Practitioner
Dr. Sandra Carey to learn about Women in Transition.

She'll explain how using a holistic approach can help therapy progress more smoothly. Using a individualized approach, she offers guidance in energy balance, life priority balance, and diet/lifestyle. While she works with a variety of clients, her specialty is grief recovery and the transformations of women "from age 30 to past menopause."

She is able to accept Blue Cross PPO insurance for her psychotherapy sessions, or private pay at her Naperville office.

Also check out our local HMN Facebook page for updates and to RSVP:  https://www.facebook.com/HMNChicagoWesternSuburbs/

How long have you been a member of HMN?
I joined Holistic Moms Network in December of 2016.

I am a holistic mom because
Because it just seems like the natural way to live and parent!

My holistic passions are:
Cooking for my family and teaching my children how to care for their bodies and how to be good people.  As well as being a babywearing, breastfeeding, cloth diapering & car seat safety advocate and teaching others about alternatives to everyday chemicals with my handmade personal care line, Whole Love Organics.

What inspires you about HMN or holistic living?
Other holistic moms are what inspire me!  How we all work together to share our way of living is so amazing!

What is your favorite healthy recipe?
At the moment, I love making green smoothies.  I don't really follow a recipe, I just throw what I have in a blender.  I fill the whole blender with greens and blend with either coconut or almond milk.  Add fruit, avocado (maybe some flax seed, chia seeds or matcha tea powder) and finish with a pinch of kelp and vitamin C powder.

Chapter Events and Activities
Chapter Meetings: Held the 1st Tuesday of every month from 7-9 pm at Four Winds Waldorf School, 30W160 Calumet Ave W, Warrenville, IL 60555. Open to the public.
Monthly Morning Meetups: We will meet the third Tuesday of each month from 9:30-11:30 at Grounds for Hope in Lisle. We will have our own room but the kids can also play in the open area. A cafe is also available. The fee for the kids to play is just $5/child. Parents could also purchase a 6 month pass for just $45. This would cover their family (up to 4 children) for 6 months. It cannot be shared between families as this constitutes an agreement to our rules and wavier. Children would still need to be supervised during play and cannot be left unattended. Please pre-register here: http://www.groundsforhopecafe.org/#/kids-birthdays. As for food options, there are many items available, reasonably priced, and should be able to accommodate many food allergies. We have several fresh fruit and vegetable options as well as gluten free bread and snack bars. Please let us know if someone has an unusual allergy to see if we have an option available.
Grounds for Hope, 2701 Maple Ave, Lisle, IL 60532.  Open to the public. You do not have to be a member to attend.

Safe, Organic Lawn Care!  Our services include:

- Organic/Natural lawn care
- Weed Control
- Grub Control
- Core Aeration/Overseeding
- Tree/Shrub Fertilizing

Organic/Natural Program or Organic Based Blended Program

We start by finding out what type of lawn you are looking for, then we come up with a plan to get your lawn to that point.

We then take care of the soil and fix any problems that are preventing your lawn from growing properly.

As we take care of  your lawn/soil you will see the transformation from a hard compacted soil with thin grass to a thick, healthy lawn with soil that is full of life and organic matter.

We have a mixture of Compost Tea and Kelp that we spray on our lawns to make them healthy and beautiful without all those nasty chemical fertilizers.
