Common Childhood Illnesses our Children are
Vaccinated Against (2-part Meeting)
October 5 & 19, 7 pm
In the wake of the first financial settlement to be handed down for a vaccine related injury, we are reminded that the topic of vaccines remains as concerning to parents today as it has for decades. Many parents are experiencing a crisis in confidence with our healthcare system for numerous reasons; and vaccines is at the top of that list.

Why are these illnesses so series? Why are we so afraid of contracting them? What will really happen if we do? Will my child truly suffer dire consequences if he or she contracts one of them?

Let's explore the actual illnesses, and let you decide for yourself the answers to the above questions.

This month we welcome Barry Smeltzer, MPAS, PA-C from True Health Medical Center to a 2-part meeting in which we will explore a disease profile of each of the vaccine illnesses; what they look like, how they present, how they are contracted, risks of the illness, and when to get medical help. We will discuss the vaccine associated with each illness, and finally, a short discussion on the latest vaccine policies and legislation.

Barry Smeltzer is a practitioner at True Health Medical Center, which utilizes a holistic approach to health and wellness.  Headed by Dr. Anju Usman, THMC specializes in allergies, ADD/ADHD, autism, asthma, gastrointestinal disorders and strives to improve the health of the whole family. He is also a parent of four beautiful children and lives with his wife, Linda, and family in Elburn.  http://www.truehealthmedical.com/

The meeting is free and open to the public.  Due to the amount of information we will be covering in these meetings, we will start promptly at 7 pm.

Meet us at The Health Doctors, Inc, 28379 Davis Parkway, Suite 803 in Warrenville, 630-393-2225 www.thehealthdocs.com

Smart Meters Meeting: Smart Meters are being planned for and installed in our community. Smart Meters are radio transmitters sending radio frequency microwave radiation signals from both electric and gas meters.  Why should we care?  First, suppliers of this device cannot give definitive answers on how often in a day that signals will permeate your home. This could be six to twelve times a day.  Children, pets, and pregnant women are highly susceptible to health effects, ranging from sleep disturbances, nausea, and behavioral issues to serious diseases.Barb Fleming of Oak Park is on a National  Committee of Health Physicists addressing the issues of electrical convergence (Technologies converging with each other to create biological risk).  Digital smart meters are a focus of this committee.  Sue Storm, a Naperville resident and opponent of electromagnetic radiation (EMR), is hosting two meetings in her home to discuss what we can do to educate the public and Naperville City Council, and hopefully stop this potentially harmful installation.

Meetings are scheduled September 29 at 7:30 pm & October 1 at 9:30 am in Naperville. You do not need to attend both. Please contact Sue Storm at suestorm@earthlink.net for location and directions.

The Race to Nowhere Screening: A documentary about the pressures faced by American schoolchildren & their teachers in a system & culture obsessed with the illusion of achievement, competition & the pressure to perform. Featuring stories of students pushed to the brink, burned out educators and frustrated parents. The Race to Nowhere points to the silent epidemic in our schools: cheating has become to commonplace, students are disengaged, stress-related illness, depression & burnout are rampant, and young people arrive at college and the workplace unprepared and uninspired.

October 4, 7 pm @ McAninch Arts Center, College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn. Contact dawn@organicaroad.com or click the link below to buy tickets.
