It can conjure up feelings of fear, worry, intimidation, self-doubt and insecurity. When something makes us fearful, the best way to overcome the fear is to face the challenge head-on.   In a discussion led by Lynn Torre, CFP and Money Consciousness Coach, you look at money from a different perspective, everything can change.   With the help of some Fairytale Characters you will: Redefine what money is Realize the purpose of money   Learn what drives money behaviors Recall your Money Story Understand the concept of a Financial Personality™ Gain insight into your own money behaviors Define what money success means to you Also, Lori Martin, President of Envision Benefit Specialists, will give an informative talk about healthcare reform, health insurance choices, and how to use your healthcare benefits and manage the rising cost of services. What you will learn: * Health Insurance plan options and trends in healthcare benefits * Advantages of HSA accounts * Maximize your healthcare dollars and save Meeting Location:  The Health Doctors, Ltd., 28379 Davis Parkway, Suite 803, Warrenville, Illinois 60555   Member Highlight Jessica Schroeder  How long have you been a member of HMN? I'm new to HMN and am excited to get more involved.  I am a Holistic Mom because: My goal is to raise kind, free-thinking, happy little souls with strong immune systems who know how to grow their own food, live simply, and respect our Earth.    My holistic passions are: Gentle parenting, breastfeeding, co-sleeping, homeschooling, essential oils, fermenting, vaccine choice, organic gardening, and sustainable living. What inspires you about holistic moms or holistic living? Nothing is more inspiring to me than a fierce fellow mommy who is bold and articulate in advocating for holistic living. I have so much respect for the parents who relentlessly take on our policy makers to protect our rights. They are valuable beyond measure.  I hope to be that brave some day!   One of my favorite healthy recipes:   Simplicity always wins in our household. There's nothing better to me than a fresh, colorful tray of fruits, veggies, and herbs. (Bonus points if my kids helped me pick them from the backyard!) Watermelon drizzled in lime juice and covered with mint leaves is a staple for us in the summertime! Chapter Events and Activities Chapter Meetings: Held the 1st Tuesday of every month from 7-9 pm at The Health Doctors, 28379 Davis parkway, Warrenville, www.thehealthdocs.com Open to the public. Monthly Morning Meetups: We will meet the third Tuesday of each month from 9:30-11:30 at Grounds for Hope in Lisle. We will have our own room but the kids can also play in the open area. A cafe is also available. The fee for the kids to play is just $5/child. Parents could also purchase a 6 month pass for just $45. This would cover their family (up to 4 children) for 6 months. It cannot be shared between families as this constitutes an agreement to our rules and wavier. Children would still need to be supervised during play and cannot be left unattended. As for food options, there are many items available, reasonably priced, and should be able to accommodate many food allergies. We have several fresh fruit and vegetable options as well as gluten free bread and snack bars. Please let us know if someone has an unusual allergy to see if we have an option available. Grounds for Hope, 2701 Maple Ave, Lisle, IL 60532.  Open to the public. You do not have to be a member to attend. Playgroups: All ages --4th Wednesday of the month @ 9:30 am.  Locations will vary. Watch for postings.  Membership is required to attend mom's night out. Book Club:We meet several times a year to discuss the chosen book. Dates and location will vary.
