How long have you been a member of HMN?
2 years

I am a holistic mom because:
I live and breath holistic health. I am an integrative holistic family physician, committed to help healing our families inside and out. My facebook page is HolisticMom, MD. My book The Holistic Rx: Your Guide to Healing Chronic Inflammation and Disease is due to release in October 2017!!! So exciting!!!! I am also the director of education for Documenting Hope, an organization dedicated to heal chronic disease in children. My children work with me to help spread this message of holistic healing. We sing songs about the microbiome and I have educated them on how to keep the "pets in their bellies" healthy with the foods we eat. So much fun!!!!

My holistic passions are:
My passion is to educate the world about the importance of integrative holistic health, including physicians and practitioners. Holistic living and targeting the root cause of prevention and treatment of health conditions can be fast, easy, fun, cost effective and CAN be implemented in our busy daily lives to raise healthy happy families!

I love, love, love taking care of patients at my clinic in Naperville, IL HolisticMom, MD!!! I have a 100% success rate in improving symptoms and/or healing chronic conditions, and the more complicated the better! I love it!!!! Watching others heal and thrive is what I live for! If I can do it, anyone can!

What inspires you about HMN or holistic living?
After living with multiple chronic issues including autoimmunity for most of my life, I was able to heal myself and now have helped 1000s do the same. I LOVE being in the driver's seat of my family's health. I live this lifestyle and so does my family, so I love the support of other families that have the same passion. Such an amazing community!

What is your favorite healthy recipe?

Safe, Organic Lawn Care!  Our services include:

- Organic/Natural lawn care
- Weed Control
- Grub Control
- Core Aeration/Overseeding
- Tree/Shrub Fertilizing

Organic/Natural Program or Organic Based Blended Program

We start by finding out what type of lawn you are looking for, then we come up with a plan to get your lawn to that point.

We then take care of the soil and fix any problems that are preventing your lawn from growing properly.

As we take care of  your lawn/soil you will see the transformation from a hard compacted soil with thin grass to a thick, healthy lawn with soil that is full of life and organic matter.

We have a mixture of Compost Tea and Kelp that we spray on our lawns to make them healthy and beautiful without all those nasty chemical fertilizers.

Creating A Positive Environment - a night of empowerment, encouragement and validation - for all ages!

Amy Logan, author of A Girl with a Cape (and now A Boy with a Cape), will teach us how to rock the CAPE!  Creating Action with Positive Encouragement to help Create A Positive Environment.  Amy's mission with her books is not only to send a good message to anyone who reads it, but to start a movement--to rock the CAPE!

Amy teaches people, especially children, to use kindness when they speak and encourages kids to focus on the positive things they do and say.  She teaches kids to "get their kindness on" by teaching them that they are leaders and mentors, which allows them to have an impact on people around them and on their future. Her kindness cards and CAPE cards allows kids to leave a trail of good deeds behind them, like by looking people in the eye and saying a greeting any time of day or by inviting someone to sit with you at lunch.

Amy's Kindness Gala Foundation helps charities such as Camp Out from Cancer and Tinley Wish, both of which helps families dealing with catastrophic illnesses.

Her web site even has a "Rock the CAPE" pledge we can print out.  An exerpt:  "The world needs more people like YOU.  Be a superhero and let others look up to you.  You set the example...are you ready? Who are you going to encourage?  Inspire?"
