Design Your Veggie Garden: Laying out your growing spaces can be a fun puzzle to work out. Learn how to optimize your garden to maximize space and yields and minimize crowding.

Kim Marsin operates Sweet Home Organics with her wusband Rachel Reklau. Kim came to farming, after leaving her job as an office administrator at a Chicago law firm, by asking where does our food come from and who's growing it? After working on local organic farms and taking part in Angelic Organics Learning Center (AOLC) educational opportunities, Kim and Rachel began their own farm in St. Charles, Illinois. For three years, they operated a 45-member CSA and on-site farm stand. Farming blends Kim's love of sharing food with her desire for community. In 2013 Sweet Home Organics transitioned the business towards solely growing seedlings for home growers in Villa Park. Their seedlings are available for sale via their on-line store and at various in-person May 2015 sales events. Kim also teaches an 8-week Organic Vegetable Production class with the College of DuPage, next scheduled for Mondays starting August 24th, 2015.
