No means No - Isn't that what we tell our Children?

Choice = Power
We still have it.

Keep Your Power:
Refuse "Smart" Meters!

Whether it's the temptation to take a ride from a stranger, experiment with drugs or saying "No" to unwanted advances when dating, we tell our children that their "No" means No.

With all the written notices, letters, and signs refusing smart meters, we cannot understand why the city still says they need a verbal refusal. As demonstrated in this video, the verbal is the same as the sign.

No means NO - the 1st, the 2nd time, the 3rd time....and so on....

When our children say no - do we expect them to give in when they are continually bullied, threatened and intimidated?

Their body is their property. Our homes are ours.

No means NO - written or otherwise.

Nov 1 encounter with UPA installer.
This resident talked with the installer later in the morning and he assured her that if the gates are locked, no UPA installer would break into someone's property to install a smart meter.
You may be receiving yet another "final notice" from the city
to capitulate or pay up!

You need not do either...

Simply tell them NO - again!

STOP THE NIGHTMARE!
Here's one letter sent to the City in response to their demands.
Create one of your own or use this one to reiterate your right to refuse.
See our What You Can Do page for more suggestions.

The federal judge will be making a decision on our motion for preliminary injunction as soon as this week.  Stand your ground!

Don't give up your rights.
The Letter you received is Just INK on Paper.

Naperville Smart Meter Awareness is a non-profit 501(c)4 group of concerned citizens educating the public about the risks of wireless smart meters. We are comprised of lawyers, technology professionals, health advocates, accountants, business owners and parents in our community.

Smart meters are currently being installed in Naperville despite a complaint for federal injunction and on-going investigations by the Illinois Attorney General for Open Meetings Act violations by the City of Naperville in conjunction with this project.

Smart meters pose risks in the areas of privacy, costs, security, and health and are not a federally mandated program. Our mission is to educate the residents of Naperville by bringing all pertinent information to the public and in doing so, advocate for a smarter solution in Naperville.
