| Tuesday, June 5, 2012 7-9 PM The Scoop on Poop (Digestion Information) | Ever wonder what it means about your health/digestion when your poop is odd colors, shapes or floats? We all have an often overlooked bio-feedback system that is telling us a lot about our health. Dr. Lloyd Fielder, a holistic health expert, will be leading a fun, frank and earthy discussion about poop, digestion and diet. The discussion will be humorous and lively, so if you are offended by fart jokes or uptight about poop, you have this great opportunity to relax and have fun with the subject or you can skip this one. | Member Profile

How long have you been a member of HMN? Since April, 2011 I'm a Holistic Mom because: I believe that Nature is the ultimate healer; every life choice you make either helps or hinders your health and well-being. My holistic passions are: Mind/Body/Spirit balancing, healthy foods, and happy thoughts! What inspires me about Holistic Moms or holistic living? It's practical, sustainable, and feels good! I know it's the best I can do for myself and my family. As a bonus, I find the women I have met are intelligent, passionate, and like-minded - what more can I ask for in a Mom's group? :D One of my favorite healthy recipes: *Blushing* - Although I enjoy eating healthy, I don't enjoy cooking. My husband usually ends up cooking, but fortunately, we are on the same page with regard to eating healthy. However, I am proud that I came up with a cool, yummy salad for a recent potluck that goes something like this:
In a large bowl, mix up the following to taste = Spinach, red cabbage, grated carrots, sliced almonds, and splash of Tastefully Simple Vidalia Onion dressing. You can also add broccoli and cauliflower for more substance, but everyone must have liked it 'cuz it was mostly gone! :) |
