Mare Pulido
How long have you been a member of Holistic Moms?  Since March 2011, so almost 3 years

I am a holistic mom because:  I have seen firsthand the power of natural healing that focuses on the whole body, not just a piece-part or a symptom. I also want to foster a healthy connection to nature in my daughter.

Your holistic passions are:   Herbalism and aromatherapy, the mind-body connection

What inspires you about HMN or holistic living?   I love having so many Moms to go to for advice. I also love the non-judgmental nature of the group and the support we give each other on our lifestyle choices.

One of my favorite healthy recipes:

SPINACH SMOOTHIE

I like making the spinach smoothie because it hides greens.

Basically, it's kefir, spinach, frozen fruit, spirulina powder, and a raw egg.

Hobson School

is focused on teaching the whole child

Equal emphasis is placed on social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth.  The learning environment is rich with hands on experiences in the classroom and in Hobson's "backyard." Our director and teachers have a deep understanding of early childhood development, and the experience needed to guide young children in the learning process.

Along with our pre-school classes for 3-5 year olds, we offer a parent-child class for 2 year olds.  The purpose of these classes is to introduce the concept of school to young children with the comfort of having a parent nearby.  Such an experience makes the transition to school and socializing with children and adults outside of your family easier.

Hobson is a wonderful choice for your child's first school experience and is a welcoming community for your family.  We invite you to call and schedule a time to observe our classroom.
