| I am a holistic mom because: I want my kids to grow up in a healthy & happy environment!
Your holistic passions are: Energy work, alternative therapies, Angel Cards, essential oils, and Massage (of course!). My favorite is using abdominal therapy to help everyone from babies to adult with all sorts of internal issues. The possibilities are endless with this amazing therapy!
What inspires you about HMN or holistic living? I love the sense of community, idea sharing, and sense of like-mindedness. It's a great feeling to know I can pick up the phone and call anyone here and get help or ideas with something in my life.
I chose this picture because my Air Force son, through loving organically and holistically at home, now helps his fellow Work mates heal through natural means instead of synthetic. Many of them are now going to chiropractors! Taking supplements! And using oils!! Wooo-hoooo!!! I love it!! One of my favorite healthy recipes: - 1 Whole Organic Chicken (doesn't matter how big - just make sure it fits in your crock pot)
- 5 Big Organic Carrots
- 5-8 Organic Red Potatoes
- (optional - sometimes I put apples in - it makes the stock a little sweet and is yummy!)
- 1/4 Cup of Organic Leeks or Onions
- 2 Cups of Organic Chicken Stock (which you will always have in the freezer if you make this enough!)
- Rosemary
- Thyme
- Salt and Pepper
- Garlic Powder
Chop up all your vegetables and herbs (mine are still alive from the summer - I brought them in and planted them inside... they are doing better on the heater in my kitchen than they ever did outside) and put them in the bottom of the pot with the stock. Clean your chicken (take out any nasty insides it comes with) and plop it on top of the veg.

| Hobson School is focused on teaching the whole child Equal emphasis is placed on social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. The learning environment is rich with hands on experiences in the classroom and in Hobson's "backyard." Our director and teachers have a deep understanding of early childhood development, and the experience needed to guide young children in the learning process. Along with our pre-school classes for 3-5 year olds, we offer a parent-child class for 2 year olds. The purpose of these classes is to introduce the concept of school to young children with the comfort of having a parent nearby. Such an experience makes the transition to school and socializing with children and adults outside of your family easier. Hobson is a wonderful choice for your child's first school experience and is a welcoming community for your family. We invite you to call and schedule a time to observe our classroom.
