Monthly Chapter Meeting
E.F.T (Emotional Freedom Technique)
Tuesday, January 7th, 7pm

Want a great way to start off 2014?

"If you had a tool, at your very fingertips, that could help you to drastically reduce stress, fear, anxiety and physical pain in your life, would you use it? Emotional Freedom Technique, otherwise known as EFT, or Tapping, is such a tool. EFT is a type of Meridian Tapping that combines ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology with startling results. ...

From pain relief, to healing childhood traumas, to clearing limiting financial beliefs, to weight loss, body image and food cravings, to fears and phobias, Tapping is proving to be a powerful, well-researched and easy to learn and apply technique.

Tapping utilizes the body's energy meridian points by stimulating them with your fingertips - literally tapping into your body's own energy and healing power.

Your body is more powerful than you can imagine... filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing. With Tapping, you can take control of that power." http://www.thetappingsolution.com/

How long have you been a member of HMN?
My DH and I first attended a monthly meeting on the subject of vaccinations in 2009.  We had already chosen to have a delayed vac schedule for our infant son, but not sure what we were doing.  Immediately I found a love for this group of women and joined around a few months after.  Life is busy and I've been very hit or miss with attendance to monthly mtg.  (I always "dream" of regularly being able to make it to playdates or Whole Foods meetups and mom's night out.  There is always hope! lol)  However, I always love to follow the email loop and learn from the multitude of postings.  I'm grateful for all of knowledge out there and being part of something that makes me feel "part of" something with a purpose. Not alone in our choices!

I am a holistic mom because:
I have a strong desire to raise my children in a more healthy environment (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) than how I was brought up.

Your holistic passions are:   Cloth diapering, limited media exposure for kids, Attached parenting (co-sleeping, babywearing, extended nursing), eating healthy meals as a family daily, reduce/reuse/recycle, finding natural ways to stay healthy/heal the body vs. synthetic medications.

What inspires you about HMN or holistic living?
I love learning from the incredible knowledge of mamas in this group. When we had our DS in 2008, we knew we wanted to parent differently than the "norm", but felt very alone with this path we had chosen. This group is heaven sent, because it makes our family feel like WE are the norm, and everyone else around us is not! :> As we strive day by day, year by year, to make choices/changes in our household toward becoming more holistic, we are enjoying this journey. (I will be honest and tell you that all of the changes I want to make often leave me overwhelmed. Trying to find the time to learn and implement is very time consuming. Luckily for me, my husband wants to live holistically as well.

One of my favorite healthy recipes:
Our kids love their raw veggies, but not all dinners are a hit.
So my favorite healthy recipe would have to be:

Green Smoothie (because the kids will drink theirs and then still come
and want to help drink mine too!
Spinach (4 oz.)
Pineapple (6 oz.)
Green Grapes (10 oz.)
Green Apple (one whole apple, including seeds)
Frozen mixed berries (8 oz.)

Mixed in a Vitamix, there's never left over!

Sorry I don't have any great recipe to share, my husband is the cook!

New Year's Resolutions Kept - No Willpower Required

Proven Technique Taps into Brain's True Potential for Health, Clarity, and Personal Growth

For the first time in history there exists a complete transformation system that facilitates a sustainable shift in consciousness from the fear and anxiety-based lower brain to the joy and confidence-based higher brain.

Clinical research and brain scans have demonstrated that the drug-free, painless, soft-touch technique of Higher Brain LivingĀ® creates the rapid physiological change in the brain required for lasting behavioral transformation.

I'm offering 2 sample sessions for 90.00 for those who attend a presentation/demonstration.  My presentations are the first Wednesday of every month at the below location starting at 6p until 7:15p.  RSVP is required.
