| Notes from the April Meeting | "I feel like I have so much stuff and I'm just accumulating more stuff!" "When I clean my house, I feel like I'm just moving piles from one room to another!" Sound familiar? It did to everyone who attended April's meeting where the group discussed living and parenting more simply. Fortunately, after nodding unanimously in agreement the group got busy sharing ideas and experiences for streamlining our home environments and scaling back on all of that accumulating stuff. From sharing tips about online resources and local charities accepting donations to getting kids and spouses on board, attendees shared a wealth of ideas, information and inspiration! Nature Deficit Disorder

Join us to discuss the effects of nature deficit our children and what we can do about it. Connie Sirota, environmental engineer turned nature lover mom & HMN member, will facilite a wonderful discussion about getting our kids (and ourselves) connected to nature. Connie holds a Master's in Outdoor Education and has taught at nature center's for the past decade. Using her down to earth style, Connie will help us determine the easiest and most realistic way to bring more nature into our lives. This meeting will be an open discussion style, so bring your questions and your suggestions. Holistic Moms enjoyed another great night out at The Place to Bead! Those who attended enjoyed applying our creative energy in a fun environment while sharing great conversation and making new friends. A few of us even completed some projects and went home with flashy and beautiful new accessories! The rest of us just went home.
