Grocery Shopping with your Kids? Handling Picky Eaters? Supporting your community?

Local parenting group to benefit from 5% Community Support Day at Whole Foods in Naperville, February 24, 2010  

(Naperville, IL) - On Wednesday, February 24, the Chicago Western Suburbs Chapter of the Holistic Moms Network (HMN) will benefit from Whole Foods Market's Community Support Program. 5% of all net sales from the day will go to the non-profit organization whose mission is connecting, educating, and supporting parents interested in holistic health and green living. 

"We encourage moms to trust their instincts, parent from the heart, use their innate sense of what is best for their children, live in balance with the Earth, and learn about the pros and cons of all healthcare and parenting options." says Kate Boyle, Chapter Co-Leader and member of Holistic Moms for over 5 years. Living healthy and living green is not an endpoint, but an ongoing journey in Holistic Mom's.  No matter where you are on your parenting or holistic living journey, Holistic Mom's  welcomes you. 

Representatives from Holistic Moms Network will be at Whole Foods from 8-6 pm to help answer questions about the group.  In-store events include a Finicky Preschool Cooking Class with Happy Baby from 10-11 am,  which includes making healthy snacks and a story and an interactive shopping trip from 3:30-4:30 pm with Holistic Moms Chapter Leader, Lisa Rooney, as she shares her personal secrets to engaging kids in the shopping experience, empowering kids to choose foods that are good for them, how to talk about nutrition with your kids, and most of all, how to stay on budget, stay on time, and have fun! Preregistration for both events is suggested. Bring your shopping list, your shopping bags, and don't forget your kids.
