Install Update: What to Expect |
The city is close to completing its installation of "smart" meters in Naperville.
According to city documents, there are over 700 smart meters that have not been installed on residents homes. Most of those are direct refusals.
Once the install is complete, its is rumored that the city will be contacting those residents who have refused the install, giving them an ultimatum: accept a smart meter (wireless or non-wireless), pay the associated penalty fees if applicable, or loose your power.
We urge residents to stand strong against the bullying tactics.
Contact us if you receive any communications from the city giving you an ultimatum.
