March 22, 2012 - Naperville resident, Scott, came home to find a green tag from the City of Naperville on his door and a new wireless smart meter on his home, despite clearly no trespassing and do not install signs clearly posted on his property.
"The installer went over my fence, entered my yard without my knowledge..." Read his
email hereAcross town, more UPA installers are telling residents
they were told by the City of N
aperville to ignore the signs, install the meters and not to talk to the customers. |
City and UPA ignore resident's sign |
City officials state that members of the community have had "do not install" stickers placed on their meters without their consent.
Unlikely rumor propagated by the city. And an interesting twist, considering that the city is installing meters without customers consent.
NSMA and its supporters are advocating for choice and have not encouraged any of our vounteers to place stickers on meters without the homeowners consent.
