Acting Alone?
|
Was Bill Dawe acting alone when he filed his objection to the referendum?
According to FOIA documents, the only person to receive a copy of the petition signatures was...you guessed it... Bob Fieseler.
If Bob was the only person to obtain the signatures, then how did Mr. Dawe review, along with his attorney, the 4209 signatures and come up the the bogus objections made to the referendum?
And how does that constitute "acting alone"?
And now we are wondering, who else received a copy of the petition signatures?
We'll know soon enough....
Once again, we call for transparency! And although this may not constitute any illegal action, its yet another example of how the council (represented by Fieseler) is deliberately trying to quell the voices of Naperville residents.
We still think its a really bad political move.

Objection Hearing Scheduled
|
To Vote or Not to Vote.... ...that is the Question that will be answered on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Or, rather, whether or not Naperville residents will be ALLOWED to vote. PLEASE JOIN US and show that you want your voice to be heard. In November, over 4,000 residents signed a petition, asking for the very first opportunity to vote about the city's highly controversial $22 million+ 'smart' initiative. After Naperville Smart Meter Awareness volunteers brought the petition to the City, Councilman Robert Fieseler stated that, if the issue went to a vote, the council would have a decision to make - to do the will of the people or take a "leadership" role and continue with the project.
He then requested a copy of the petition for review. Per Freedom of Information Act response, Councilman Fieseler was the only person to request a copy.
On December 27, 2011, an objection was filed to the petition by Naperville resident, Bill Dawe. PLEASE JOIN US and SHOW YOUR SUPPORT at the hearing that will determine if Naperville residents will ever get an opportunity to vote about the City's 'smart' initiative plans.
