Naperville Smart Meter Awareness Group to Announce Major Update in Effort to Halt Smart Meter Installation

NAPERVILLE, IL -- On Friday, December 30, 2011, the Naperville Smart Meter Awareness group (NSMA) will hold a press conference announcing a major update in their efforts to stop the impending rollout of 57,000 wireless smart meters in Naperville, Illinois. City of Naperville Municipal Center Meeting Rooms B & C 400 S. Eagle Street Naperville, IL 60540 The press conference will begin promptly at 2:00 pm. The press and community members are encouraged to attend. Naperville Smart Meter Awareness is 501(c)6 non-profit group of concerned citizens educating the public about the risks of wireless smart meters. We are comprised of lawyers, technology professionals, health advocates, accountants, business owners and parents in our community.
Smart meters are to be installed in Naperville starting this summer and pose risks in the areas of privacy, costs, security, and health. Our mission is to educate the residents of Naperville by bringing all pertinent information to the public and in doing so, advocate for a smarter solution in Naperville.
