The Dark Side of 'Smart' Meters

Naperville Smart Meter Awareness is a group of concerned citizens educating the public about the risks of wireless smart meters. We are comprised of lawyers, technology professionals, health advocates, accountants, business owners and parents in our community.

Smart meters are to be installed in Naperville starting this summer and pose risks in the areas of privacy, costs, security, and health. Our mission is to educate the residents of Naperville by bringing all pertinent information to the public and in doing so, advocate for a smarter solution in Naperville.

Smart Meters have risks - Inform Yourself.

Every home, business, school, and church in Naperville will receive a smart meter, putting privacy, financial's, security, property, and health at risk.

Come to our presentation and Q&A session so you can be fully informed before being mandated to put a smart meter on your home or business.

Pilot Program has begun

The city has begun the smart meters installation in the East and West Highlands neighborhoods, as well as at approximately 100 Naperville businesses.

The approximate pilot boundaries are: 5th Ave Station (North), 75th St (south), Olesen (East), West St (West). This means the amount of radiation exposure in this area will be or already has been significantly increased.

Electro-sensitivity is slowly becoming a recognized illness. Symptoms include:

Neurological: headaches, dizziniess, nausea, difficulty concentrating, memory loss, irritability, aggressive behavior, depression, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, weakness, tremors, muscle spasms, numbness, tingling, altered reflexes, muscle and joint pain, leg/foot pain, flu-like symptoms, fever.

Cardiac: palpitations, arrhythmias, pain or pressure in the chest, low or high blood pressure, slow or fast heart rate, shortness of breath.

Respiratory: sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, and asthma.

Dermatological: skin rash, itching, burning, and facial flushing

Ophthalmologic: pain or burning in the eyes, pressure in/behind the eyes, deteriorating vision, floaters, and cataracts.

Others: digestive problems; abdominal pain; enlarged thyroid, testicular/ovarian pain; dryness of lips, tongue, mouth, eyes; great thirst; dehydration; nosebleeds; internal bleeding; altered sugar metabolism; immune abnormalities; redistribution of metals within the body; hair loss; pain in the teeth; deteriorating fillings; impaired sense of smell; ringing in the ears; hearing loss; insomnia.

We've seen reports say anywhere from 3-35% of the worlds population can develop electro-hypersensitivity. (Powerwatch Handbook, Philips) You may not experience any of these symptoms right away, hopefully, you won't devlop them at all.
